I loved Noels comment after Beady Eye played the Olympic opening ceremony.

“I enjoyed the set by Stratfords second best Oasis tribute band”

    😆

To be fair it’ll probably do all right as Oasis fans will buy any old shit. As everything after the first 2 albums testifies

The former Oasis singer, speaking to NME said he instead wanted to title the album ‘Universal Gleam’ but was outvoted by his band and label.

    rock n roll 🙄

Well they’re playing this on 6 Music at the moment. And, as predicted, its absolutely bloody awful!!

The same third-rate Beatles tribute band, only without the talented one. Who must be sat listening to this tripe and laughing his socks off. Truly dreadful!

They really are terrible. I could get along with Oasis but Liam was always a **** and now he’s a **** without competent backup.

Pretty ironic, coming from someone who became famous fronting Manchester’s worst ever Beatles tribute band.

They both make me ashamed to be a Mancunian.

Noel (on Liam): “He’s rude, arrogant, intimidating and lazy. He’s the angriest man you’ll ever meet. He’s like a man with a fork in a world of soup.” 🙂

And here’s me thinking musicians made music for passion and art.

Nope, it’s all about the money and self-importance for some it seems – doesn’t surprise me with that jeb-end though

Thinks there might be a bastardisation of a Half Man Half Biscuit lyric in that quote…

    From “Bob Wilson – Anchorman.”

Lord I’ve tried the best I can
    I’ve asked everybody in Kazakhstan
    But I still don’t understand
    Bob Wilson – anchorman

I’ve been to Kent, Gwent and Senegal
I’ve even been to look for Jim Rosenthal
Found him on his knees at the Wailing Wall
    Crying: “Bob Wilson – anchorman”

Well I marvel at the things we find beneath the ground
And that man can go faster than the speed of sound
But I still can’t get my head around
    Bob Wilson – anchorman

I’m cold and I’m hungry and I’m in Dundalk
I’ve got no bus fare, I’ve gotta walk
It’s raining soup and I’ve got a fork
    Where be my camper van?

Well I’d like to meet Stephenson the engineer
And I’d like to meet Faraday and buy him a beer
And I’d love to meet the bloke who had the bright idea of
    Bob Wilson – anchorman
