  • Buying Secondhand tyres with tubeless residue – problem?

Probably a silly question, but is there an issue with running tyres that have previously been run tubeless and have residue of sealant left in them? I bought some Racing Ralphs once which had this and all I can remember was that the tube stuck to the inside of them and kind of ‘fused’ to the tyre but it wasn’t difficult to prise off, though could there be a problem running a tube in them? What about attempting to run them tubeless again – will it all work fine? Cheers.

    No, no, yes.

    It’ll be fine.

Will be completely fine. If you want you can always take some warm water and a scouring pad and remove it all, it’s an easy job.
