  • Bust knee…what outdoor films?

Great, right in the middle of summer and getting fitness back on track it looks like I’ve dislocated my knee at circuits last night. Waiting on a follow on appointment and the swelling to go down.

Feeling rather meh and frustrated as I was just feeling like I was getting back on track.

So create a mini Kendal film festival for me in my sitting room. Watched the Berkley marathon off the back of stw recommendations. What else? I’m in to most sports, though find skiing films a bit dull.

    Cheers

You watched a marathon? Epic films for me are bad action films:

    Kickboxer
    Never Back Down
    Rocky 4
    The transporter 1,2,3

Which reminds me the wife is out tonight so need to sus a suitable action film to watch.

Never Back Down is a superb dreadful action film! Was on Netflix last time I checked.

    I also enjoyed Everest.

Indeed. When I need a bit of motivation in the gym I put it on the tv in there (Never Back Down). As if someone could get that good at martial arts in the short time frame of the film.

Amber Heard pretty easy on the eye too

Lol. I’ll have a look. Have to say, if it isn’t an outdoor or 007 film I slightly default to the women stereotype and get the Bridget Jones box set out 😀

    Bridget Jones box

I missed that one, where does it come in the series?

Valley Uprising on Netflix is ace, whether you like climbing or not.

Dodo’s Delight on Redbull TV is hilarious. Arctic sailing, big wall climbing and sea shanties.

Lots of other great stuff on Redbull TV too, only caveat is the – easily scrubbed – 2 minutes of guff at the beginning of each film.

Happy armchair adventuring and a speedy recovery.

Just do all the Arnie films in chronological order. That should keep you entertained for a while.

Then do the same thing with JCVD.

The Inga project is the Everest of kayaking imo. Great film.

Download: Ride The Divide & Inspired To Ride, two great films.

Also settle in on Red Bull TV for a weekend of XCO & DH racing from Canada.

Quite a bit more sedate than most videos above, but Jago: A life underwater gets double thumbs up

Thanks all. Some great ideas and good plan re DH this weekend. So far ice on both the knee and in my G&T glass is certainly helping.
