…are the ones for around a £10/12 on Amazon any good?

We need 4 as the suitcase we have were from the time when you chucked as much stuff in as possible!

We don’t travel a lot so long term wear isn’t really an issue.

I got a Karrimor Transit 40 from Sports Direct, cost about £20, lasted 2 years of at least weekly flights and is still going (fairly) strong.
It has wheels and an extending handle as well as backpack straps (although these aren’t very comfy.
Surprisingly good for the money, I’d get another one If the need arose.

Sports direct also sell Dunlop cases reasonably cheap. I have used mine for numerous trips. Not the most stylish of cases but I don’t mind that.

The kids have a couple of cabin max wheelie cases – £20 ish iirc. They are ok. I wouldn’t want to go cheaper tbh.

I got a Wenger one from TK Maxx for £30, absolute bargain of the century. Well worth a loot at their on line store.

I think it does not really matter too much as they will only get a fraction of abuse that a normal suitcase will get. probably 75% of damage to suitcases get done with rough handling (baggage handlers to put 300 cases on/off a plane in 10 mins)
