It’s race day tomorrow and we’re a couple of marshals short of the ideal number we need to run the course we have planned. We’ve changed the design of the course a bit from last month's puncture fest to try to keep the racing flowing and fun, but it's still a bit of a departure from all previous rounds and as a result we need a couple of extra willing volunteers to make it happen.

So "what’s in it for me" you might well be asking? Well, this year Buff have kindly come on board to sponsor our marshals, so as well as the snack bar, drink and catering van voucher you'll find in your goodie bag, if you’ve not marshalled for us before this series you’ll also find a specially printed Buff only available to those helping out at Buff sponsored events! We’ve also added a lucky dip element in to the marshals goodie bag, and so if you’re really lucky you might find a little extra something lurking in the bottom of your bag from one of our sponsors.

Don’t let the chance of inclement weather put you off either, although currently we've a warmish sunny day forecast for tomorrow! Express Asphalt has provided waterproofs to keep you warm and dry should the heavens open.

At the end of the race you’ll stand a 1 in 15-ish chance of winning £50 cold hard cash, as well as a whole load of gear given to us by our sponsors in the marshals' raffle.

Add to all this the massive positive karma you’ll gain from supporting our not-for-profit race (all “profits” go to local charities; Brownbacks organisers are volunteers too and take nothing out of the series for running it), as well as the fact you should be well on your way home by 13:00, and it all adds up to a pretty sweet deal.
