So I broke my Soda, it cracked on the seatstay near the brake mount.
It was the early skinny seat-tube one, has been my main MTB for three and a half years.
I loved this frame, pretty gutted, to say the least.

Spoke to Paul at Cotic, within a week of discovering the crack, this dropped onto my proverbial doorstep…..

Great service and a nice contrast to all the warranty woes that seem to be on the forum.

It might be me, but that looks like a weird kind of crack to get – I’ve never seen anything quite like it!

I have a 2008 Soda, and like you it’s been my (only) MTB for the past few years, and I love it. I think it’s dawning on me that it will eventually give way, and with the Soda no longer in production I’d be gutted too.
Kudos to Cotic though, I’ve been a fan since buying my Soda and this just reinforces that.

So who actually made the frame? Do you know?

Cotic are fantastic in my opinion.

looks more like a question for whoever made the tubing.

    If it was Litespeed I wouldn’t have got a replacement… 😉

@nicko74 – I know what you mean, I’ve been reading all these stories about Ti frames cracking, was like waiting for the inevitable.
    Great fun while it lasted.
