    The top bolt on my Single pivot FS bike snapped on Saturday this seems like a odd thing to happen as they are pretty thick steel do they sometimes go or should I be worried and looking for a cause? Wasn’t on anything big just a bit of DH singletrack and the shock didn’t even bottom out.

    Happened to me on my Marin years ago, ATB said “it shouldn’t happen!” but it did. They gave me a new bolt.

    Happened to me too. The bottom shock pin on my Specialized FSR snapped, had to shell out for a new bolt kit.

    had to shell out for a new bolt kit.

    in case you have trouble finding the right shape one, CRC/nukeproof seem to sell a few sizes for not silly money.
