  • Broadband dongle for laptop. Best deal?

I'm thinking of getting one of those USB plug in broadband widgets to let my laptop talk to the web. What's the best deal going?

    Probably pay as you go.
No time limit on the usage
Usage will be variable – a lot of the time it will be minimal, some of the time when I'm away on work stuff, it'll be quite hefty – vpn into the office network.
    Obviously as cheap as possible!

    So what do people recommend?

    Thanks!

If you've been with your current mobile provider for a while try giving them a call. I have my phone with T mobile and my dongle with vodafone but recently T Mobile have been calling up offering me a third off to bring my broadband over to them.

T-mobile gave me a free one for loyalty Jon, try your current mobile provider. That costs me £5 a month for unlimited (well what they call unlimited)usage.

I got an O2 one – £20 for the dongle, then £2/day or £7.50/week or £15/month paid as you go.

To be honest, the bigger reason to have it is because hotels normally use BTOpenzone for wifi, and wifi access is included in the above. I got fed up of paying £10/day for it directly.
