I was hoping to never post one of these threads but it includes shoes too so hopefully I’m forgiven.
I’m doing the dathlon on Sunday. I’ve never been to Ashton Court so don’t know what the trails are like.
I’ve read they are pretty weather proof so can I get away with Kenda SB8s?
For the run will bog standard road trainers be okay or should I invest in some off road ones?

I did it last year.

I bought some off road running shoes, as there are some long grassy downhills & uphills. But then I do like buying things.

Tyres – pretty much anything will do. I have used Rubber Queens / High Rollers / Alberts. SB8s may be pushing in a bit as it will be quite damp. I think you may need something with a little more grip.
