If you were in a works van (with logos splashed along the side), driving in a busy area, how flipping stupid do you need to be to think that swearing (for no discernable reason) at a young cyclist (not me, a ~14 yr old boy) is something worth doing?

hardly portrays a good image of the council (or May Gurney contractors).

    😡

(I’m sure nobody will really care, but it pissed me right off this morning)

Complain then instead of moaning about it here. Companies like May G will take a VERY dim view of that kind of stuff.

May Gurney just got one too.

    I think I’m having a grumpy day…

if it can be corroborated by the young cyclist, then the ‘contractor’ should be disciplined– Council should take a very dim view– it is a sackable offence– same as wolf whistling etc

I once sent an email to Bristol City Council complaining about the lazy irks who spent all day pretending to clean the pavement and steps on the city centre. Honestly, one would stand there with a jet wash, with the other one stood there looking at him, for about 5 minutes – then they’d get in the van and have another cup of tea.

    This went on for months.

I got a satisfactory reply from the council 😆
