I know we're probably a few months behind the UK over here in Oz, so I guess the series currently on the ABC was on the BBC at some time in the past. But, does anyone know who did some of the more 'moving / dramatic' music?

In case you're wondering what the series turns out like, here's a brief synopsis.
<dreamy music>
Billions, and billions, and billions......
<more dreamy music>
Bigger numbers than you can possibly imagine...
<even more dreamy music>
Chaos.....
He was in d:ream you know. The background music could have been very different

That sounds a bit Sigur Ros to me, but it may have been composed to sound like that. Im sure the BBC went through a phase of usjng their music for stuff like Planet Earth

Billions and billions, billions of billions. Then there's all the billionths. All while cox stands on a hill smiling at the sky and talking like a stoned northerner enthusing about his favourite cake shop.

I think it's Sheridan Tongue but I might be wrong but that's what it says on that Youtube link.

Don't forget all the nice clothes. And the hair.

As much as I enjoyed the show; all the positive vibes, incredible facts, spacey music and stunning visuals made me feel as though I was being indoctrinated into a cult.

I do know, and am very grateful for the fact that it appears his musical taste has matured!
And yes, I can see why he might annoy some people, but the sort of science I do (environmental / soil if anyone's interested) is a helluvalot simpler than his, and I struggle to explain that to the general public! He is an exceptional communicator, yet his publication record looks more like your typical reclusive prof with zero people skills.

I bloody loved Wonders, both series. Bit too much standing on mountains by the end but brilliant science programming, worth the price of the license fee alone.
