I’m in the market for some 200s for the Alps. Historically I’ve tended to go for Hope floaters but my current bike has 180 Avid Centrelines which have been really good.

So, what does the STW think?

Are they all a much-of-a-muchness or is this a marginal gain?

    Uran or Froome?

I’m a fan of Centerlines and Shimano RT76’s. I’ve never had a problem with either. I preferred the RT76’s to the older Avid rotors. Some have complained of melting the newer IceTech rotors. The pictures show it has happened but it’s pretty certain they were abused. Most seem to have no issue with them.

Hope rotors aren’t likely to give a performance advantage but will add bling. Make sure you’re getting 200’s not 203’s otherwise you need to sort clearance with calliper mounts.
