I’ve warped my rear disc badly in the Alps(it’s gone blue too) and also decided that I may as wel go for a 185 not a 165 as that was hardly enough.
Superstar or should I spend twice that on somthing else?

It was weird to see my caliper boiling water at the bottom of even short runs.

Recent trip to Garda convinced me that my XT 160 was not man-enough on the back.
I went for the Superstar floating 180 as a replacement. Not given it the same punishment yet but very pleased with it so far. Good weight/surface area compromise IMHO. Work well with XT brakes.

Also have the Superstar “flame” steel rotors on my HT. Very happy with those too. Seem well finished and again work well with XT.

I’ve used Superstar wavey rotors with XTs and had no problems with them.
