Anyone know if it's possible to replace the blade of an XT disc brake lever?
I took my mate on his shiny new Anthem X2 (no seat QR) down a rather too rocky trail at the weekend. One of the times he went over the bars the bike landed on the rear brake lever and has bent it through 90degrees at the thin section. Whilst I'm sure we could bend it back he probably wants it fixing properly as it was only second time out. I've seen the whole lever assembly on CRC for about £37 but I wondered if the blade is available as a spare part and whether it can be swapped without a bleed etc?

    Try ultimate pursuits.

I have bent one back (from < 90 deg tho) and still using happily.

Cheers. I suspect being shimano they aren't meant to be taken apart

Oh and yes, you should be able to detach the lever from the main res push rod without too much trauma.
