Mate has asked for my help fitting old brakes to a new bike.

The brakes are Hope Mini with a No 3 caliper front and rear which ran 185 up front and 165 rear both bolting straight onto IS fork and frame mounts.

So, to fit these brakes to his new post mount forks means a post to IS + 20mm adaptor and a 205 rotor are needed.

However, looking at the Hope adaptor for the job, it states that it doesn’t suit the new Marzocchi Post mount forks.

Anyone know why? How new the forks need to be? And most important of all,

Who makes an adaptor that does fit?

    Cheers guys.

Just down to the shape of the posts, they foul part of the adapter, but with a little filing of the edges on both mount and fork, they can be made to work(I accept no responsibility for anything going t*ts up when doing this).

Cheers mate. Big file it is then. (I also accept no responsibility if it goes pete tong).

Must give you a bell about those pro lever dust covers some time as well.

Checked today, got none. If hope still have any, I can order them seperately, will have to call them though.
