    Just building up a bike

    Not all parts here yet

Have 2 160 discs arriving and was wondering if I’d need an adapter to fit the caliper to this size disc?

Fork is new style (post mount?) but cant seem to find a post to post 160 adapter. Is this because it won’t need one on the front for that size disc or I’m a bit useless searching? They all seem to be for 180 discs and upwards

The calliper should just bolt straight on at 160 iirc.

yup. Caliper should go straight on for 160mm disc on the fork.

Pretty sure the standard fork post mount takes a 160mm rotor without an adaptor, then you get adaptors to take it up to 180/203 etc.

However, some forks do take different size disks by default (e.g. 180mm/203mm)

    EDIT: Too slow 🙁

You’ll likely need an IS/post +20mm, as rear calipers are 140 without adaptor/mount

My 2010 Kula was 160 rear post mount. Guess some might do that to cut down on costs.

Frame is a Yeti ARC Carbon, post mount rear. Can’t really tell until the discs turn up
