Can does anyone know where I can get a cheap hose cutter?
I don’t really want to spend £40 on something I’m not going to use much!
    Cheers, Chris

Stanley knife with a nice new blade, a flat surface and a bit of elbow grease. Use a coctail stick afterwards to make the bore round again

wrap where you’ll cut tightly with masking tape – it helps prevent fraying.

I used to use a hacksaw with a new blade on car braided hoses.

halfords <do I spit now?> cable cutter for 22 quid is great

i used it on braided hose for my M4s and it cut fine

plus if you buy it online, you get 20% off

and if you buy it with some GT85, the price actually drops by 50p

Whatever you use to cut gear outers will cut braided hoses.
    Or an angle grinder.

The best way (other than a proper hose saw) is to wrap it with masking tape then cut it with an angle grinder with the thinnest cutting disc you can find.

Even new hacksaw blades leave a ragged edge and cable cutters will crush the ptfe inner which isn’t the end of the world but means you have to mess about squashing it back into shape!
