Good pubs are pretty thin on the ground in Bournemouth im afraid. 60 Million postcards is a nice bar/pub, which does decent food, and has good alternative-ish music. Its close to where your staying , just opposite the BIC. Daisy O’briens is an ok Irish type pub in town – you can see im scraping the barrel here. If you want a decent pub with character your better off getting in the car and going to Burley Inn, new forest.

    Understatement of the year.

My vote would be go 5 mins on the bus to Westbourne.

The Porterhouse for pub – it’s run by Ringwood brewery so the beer is good, it’s nothing special, but has a nice feel to it – always busy on weekend evenings. Zoukinis for food, which is a vegetarian restaurant, but the food is really good and they cater for all sorts of dietary requirements.
