    So..

6 months ago, I bought a complete bike from a national retailer. Since then, I’ve bought a different frame, and sold the original. Now, some parts have stopped working as I’d hope (namely x9 rear mech spring has lost ‘spring’ – common fault I believe – and the lockout on the Marzocchi 55 TST forks has gone funny).

So where do I go with these bits to get them warrantied? The origonal shop (who I suspect will say they never sold me the bike??) The distributor for the brand? Someone else?

Call shop and tell them to save any hassle you will strip the parts yourself

I think you might struggle as you were sold a complete bike but no longer have the bike you were sold.
Your contract as always remains with the retailer.

Yeah, just take the mech in and show it to them.

As chakaping says, take in part and receipt for bike
