  • Bottom bracket spacers on a road bike??

I’ve got a road bike with a 68mm shell that has recently had a new BB from the LBS.

The chain line is now terrible when in the hardest gear which I had never noticed before.
The BB has BBR60 stamped on it of that helps. Should there be a spacer on the driver side? This would certainly help the chain line.

When in the 10 tooth at the back and 50 tooth on the front the angle on the chain is really quite severe.
The chain line is bang on centre when on the 50 tooth with the 4th cog out of 10 at the back. Does this sound right?

Are you trying to use Big – Big, as in, the gear you should really never use on a double?

No I’ve got the opposite problem. I’m using big front and small back. The chain like is so far to the right the chain goes over the top of the big ring.
