  • Bottom bracket length for Shimano Octalink M752 cranks

    Does anyone know the correct bottom breacket axle length required for Shimano M752 octalink cranks and a 50mm chainline? 68mm bottom bracket shell width if that makes any difference.

    I think that a 113mm axle gives a 47.5mm chainline and 118mm gives a 50mm one. If I'm right 47.5mm is the prefered chainline but 50mm works too. I've got M752s on two bikes, one on a 113mm axle and the one on my 853 Inbred on a 118mm axle, due to the extra wide chainstays. Both work well.
