watched it and it was very good. I especially liked it as I haven’t lived in the UK for ca. 20 yrs now so really enjoyed seeing all the places and having the memories jogged

Seems like quite an interesting guy

Watched it a couple of months ago (I think from a recommendation here?). Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Worth finding a couple of hours and getting it on a big screen.

Yep, that was great. What a guy, what a trip. 7 months though? Wow, pretty much in isolation. Equally amazing, enthralling and kind of scary in one. Wonder how I’d fair on my lonesome for that sort of time frame. Bloody love to try it though.

That was great, stayed in a few of the bothies he visited. My last serious bike packing trip we stayed in the last bothy in Wales. Arrived there at 9pm having dragged the bikes through gorse, snow and down a hillside that would have been difficult to walk without a fully laden bike. Awesome location.

    Wow.

Obviously a very canny bloke. Put my dabbling/playing at it outdoorsmanship in perspective.

I watched it last night; sadly he missed out my favourite bothy, Camasunary on Skye. Maybe he had company there and didn’t want other people in the film; it’s a popular bothy thanks to the spectacular location and easy access. Or maybe he decided not to show the more luxurious, easier-reached bothies.

He did miss a few ‘iconic’ bothies from the film. I didn’t mind though as it stands as a whole and felt like a really rounded story of a great adventure. I did enjoy seeing a few of my favorites though. Funny thing is I had wondered where the hooks had come from in a few bothies! Now I know.
