Thinking of doing some rides in the Fort Bill/Kinlochleven area. Anyone know of some good routes that you can do that you can use a bothy to save carrying a tent.Or some websites that will give some inspiration for early spring.

Start from Nevis range, ride round the tour de Ben Nevis route, and there is a bothy down next to Abhain rath, called meannanach bothy, just over half way round iirc. Route is about 70 odd K all in.

    Lots of bothies around KLL/FW:

    Meannach
    Staoenaig
    Loch Chiaran
    Lairig Leacach…

    For starters.

    Have a wee look here:

If you use Meannach, take something to burn if you need a fire cos the only thing that’ll catch fire is what’s left of the roof at Luibeilt on the wrong side of the river!
Or at least that was the case 2 years ago.

I know this isn’t answering your question, but take lots of fuel if there isn’t a source nearby. I used about a quarter to a third of a bag of coal on my trip for one night. Problem is you have to carry it in but there’s nothing like a roaring fire to warm the cockles. I took a few tea lights too to give it a homely feel!
