Not sure anyone will hve an answer for this but thought id put it out there to see if anyone had any ideas.

I bought a deville fork perhaps 18 months or so ago. Had no problems with it although the rebound adjustment seems to make next to no difference.

Anyway – i put my bike up next to a smaller travel bike and noticed the exposed fork stanchions looked very similar. So out of curiosity i measured the amount of available fork travel when completely unsagged and its running at 140mm travel. Now im wondering if its always been running at this length or perhaps it has developed a fault. Anyone got any ideas?

They do make the Deville in 140 – did you buy it new?

Can also get stuck down/airlocked – let the air out of them, then push the end of a cable tie gently between stanchion and seal on the spring side- you may get a little puff of air out. Pump back up, doing the equalise pressure thing as per the manual, see how they are then.
