It has moved on a bit since this was taken, Ti seatpost, steerer cut to correct length and tyres changed for Racing Ralphs.

Built over a few months of pottering last winter including the wheels too. First ever wheel builds and haven't needed any further truing at all. Different ride – more twangy and 29er.

    B R………Those Voodoo 29ers have a 72 degree headtube angle – which is indeed a "bit" steep! 😉

Here's mine (it sort of counts – only 30mm travel!)

I think it's the wide angle lens I used to take the photo although that's not the first time thats been mentioned (with that photo)… maybe I do need to have a look at that… paranoid now 🙂

Mine. It looks radically different now as the frame arrived back from Seven yesterday after I managed to snap this version. The down tube is now curved where it meets the head tube.

I bought Ken's old MG (well, swapped it for the Turner (which looks ace in green!)). To be honest, the tyre clearence on the back would put me off having another one. I sold it to buy a race frame and that can take a bigger tyre than the MG can. Also, I thought it quite heavy for a Ti frame, although it was a fantastic trail bike.

I agree about the tyre clearance, although I can get a 2.1 in with no probs. I bought mine as I enjoyed riding my mk 1 PA so much and thought that the experience would only get better with Ti, which it has, although I transferred the kit over between frames so was never able to carry out a side by side comparison. Not sure about the weight difference between the frames I'm sure Dialled Mike could tell us if he's around. I'm sure its on the chunky side for a Ti frame but as I'm on the chunky side too I find that confidence inspiring, as an overbuilt Ti frame should be able to cope with my blundering riding style with ease.

mangoridebike you are indeed correct and as Flange said we did a swap for the Turner. My MG was natural, then polished, then painted red (which horrorfied a few folk on here) and the bead blasted when swapped.

I only got rid to get the 5 Spot (which is great) and would get another as it rode so well
