    Evening stw.

So who’s running a boost frame? What chainset are you using? I’ve been reading conflicting advice on whether it’s necessary to buy the “boost” chainset..

Unsure whether to go 1x or 2x on my build either.

    Any help much appreciated

Im running a boost frame with non boost wheels/tyres.
Sram XX1 1 x set up have had no problems at all with the chainline.

Im moving to a XT c/set as the Q factor is wider and should give me a little more chainstay clearance on the non driveside. Once again its a non boost c/set.

If you read this info it pretty much says the same thing for a boost frame with non boost wheels a chainline of 49-50 is ideal.

If the intent is to run actual boost wheels you may be better with some of the boost specific c/set XT being one for example.

    Hope that helps a little.

If you want to run 2x and Plus tyres on Plus rims then go Boost.

    Cheers so far guys.

I’m going to be running a normal pro2 evo hub that’s been converted using a wolf tooth boostinator. As far as I’m aware this puts the cassette in the same place as a proper boost hub as it’s just the non drive side cap that gets replaced and you re-dish the wheel.

Not going to run plus sized tyres etc, just normal 650b tyres.

It’s going in an sb6c frame if that’s any help?

    Cheers
