Bought a 2010 trek Ex8 off ebay, rear suspension bearings sloppy so thought I’d order a new set, whilst waiting for these to arrive thought I would remove the old ones, Most came out fairly easily, however one needed a bit of persuasion with a mallet and socket, and guess what? I’ve cracked the lower chain stay bridge……anyone breaking a trek ex 2010??

If no one comes through for you- give a Trek dealer a call as Trek still should have some-

They had a spare seatstay for a mates EX, but hold your breath as that would have been £250 or so, if it didn’t have a warranty. Its a different colour too, but for free he wasn’t complaining. So remain seated when you call the dealer.

Breakpad at Kirroughtree managed to source a couple of older Trek bits for me a
month or so ago. Be worth a buzz cos they weren’t expensive either.
