OK Reede has to be a serious medal contender, but just one international level BMX competitor from the whole of the UK?

It’s great to see the venue full (well very nearly) and in particular the number of young kids there. Given the success of boarder and skier cross I am convinced this sort of side by side racing is the way to go.

@cookea – the BOC won’t enter you for an event unless you meet their qualification standards. I agree it’s a shame we don’t have more competitors, there must be some talented kids we should have given a wildcard too.

I doubt any of them use flat pedals. Despite the number and size of the jumps and potential choices (double, tripple, quad, manual them all etc) there’s not that much overtaking after the first straight, it’s all in the snap out of the gate.

Less than the 80’s when every village had one, more than 10 years ago when there were barely any. Even Reading now has a “practice track”, which is borderline national sized (although odly no race track).

It’s something like being able to pinch and inch of fabric at various points. And trousers are mandatory, ditto full face + peak.

I’m usualy of the “if you cant say anything nice then…….. frame of mind. But I’m sure she doesn’t find middle aged IT middle managers attractive either, so not overly, no.

Unless you meant fit as in athletic, in which case she’s ‘ard as nails and usualy rides track too.

Used to be another just a bit further down the A2/M2.

Pinch rule IIRC – you have to be able to pinch a length of material without stretching it so lycra’s out (unless you wear it baggy 🙂 )
