Im eagerly awaiting the arrival of a 2011 Heckler frame to replace my much beloved 2003 Blur Classic

I plan to swap everything over from Penelope ( my Blur) to Heather ( my Heckler). I believe everything will be a straightforward swap – but will my chain fit the Heckler? Or will I need to lengthen it/replace it?

Blur classic is probably going to have longer chainstays so you will no doubt have to shorten the chain.

You may already know this but the easiest way to measure for the Heckler is to put the chain around the biggest cassette cog at the back and the biggest chainring at the front. Not through the rear mech though. Pull the chain tight and then add 2 links to wherever it crosses over.

By the way what fork are you transferring, Heckler doesn’t really like anything under 140 travel.
