Mate (VERY into his music -he’s a musician) has a SoundKit Hive – the sound is amazing. I have one arriving any day – £39 at amazon.

I am a big fan of the UE Boom – which can be had circa £120

Sony SRS-X2. Bought at Gatwick for a holiday and the NFC and bluetooth worked seamlessly with my Blackberry for that authentic Radio 4/6 music abroad experience.

I never tested the Bose, but am very happy with the Sony.
