Looking for a recommendation for some bluetooth headphones to use for running and perhaps cycling.

Had some cheap ones but they failed before they needed their first charge!

These http://www.amazon.co.uk/Plantronics-BackBeat-GO-Wireless-Earbuds/dp/B00AC3B5Z4/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1431876431&sr=8-6&keywords=plantronics+backbeat+pro are a good price but I’m concerned that hey won’t stay in place.

These http://www.amazon.co.uk/607/dp/B00N95OZOK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1431797493&sr=8-2&keywords=backbeat+fit are more expensive but look as if they’ll stay in place better.

So any real life experience of either or a better idea?

    Thanks

    Hiya Bud,
Ive got the jabra sport pulse bluetooth headphones which are awesome. They stay in your ears even on the roughest of trails and the sound is mint as the headphones come with an app that plays all your music through dolby sound. They also have a built in heart rate monitor, which i wasn’t too bothered about but is actually pretty smart feature. The heart rate monitor can be linked to endomondo which is pretty cool.Battery life is about 5 hours, which seems long enough for most rides.
    Cheers Mark.

Thanks, those Jabra’s look good but a bit pricey!

I’ve got some cheap Bluedio ones and they seem a bit fussy about the charger you can use – if I try to plug them into the computer, for example, they won’t charge, same problem depending on the USB charger+cable combination… It might be worth having another look at the ones you’ve already got.

Quite like the look of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-Wireless-Headset-HBS-750-Bluetooth/dp/B00FO0IHMY Would be interested to hear if anybody’s used them while running.

Thanks mogrim, I wasn’t very clear, the signal started to break down as if there was a loose connection. I tried it with different sources but the same result. It happened before the battery ran out for the first time.

OK, obviously faulty then! Anyway the Bluedio ones I’ve got aren’t bad for running, and they’re very cheap:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bluedio-Bluetooth-Cancellation-Earbuds-Microphone/dp/B00WZ8V5W2/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1431934092&sr=8-8&keywords=bluedio+bluetooth+headphones+running

They don’t stay completely in place, I do need to push them back in every now and then, but not so often for it to be a big problem. I’d probably be better off with some where the body is hanging over your ear*, but as I like to wear sunglasses while running that’s not an option.

    * for example: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mpow-Bluetooth-Headphones-Microphone-Hands-free/dp/B00OH9IB8I/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1431934247&sr=8-4&keywords=bluetooth+headphones+running

    I have these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-SBH20-Stereo-Bluetooth-Headset/dp/B00BWIHI7M

Regular type earbuds on a short cable to a light little square that you clip on. Keeps the bit in your ear light (so less prone to falling out), gives you handy controls and does away with the snagging/pulling cable to my phone.

They look good, what’s the sound quality like?

I’ve got the Plantronics ones in your first post and TBH they are very average.
Sound quality is pretty poor and the fit isn’t great. IMHO they aren’t worth the premium charged for them.

I ended up getting a corded pair of philips ones – http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-SHQ1200-10-Sweatproof-Headphones/dp/B008ZW2X0U/

Whilst they aren’t bluetooth or have a speaker, they are tough, stay put and have reasonable sound quality.

I’m not an audiophile, and I don’t usually notice how good or bad headphones are, but the plantronics ones really are noticeably shit.

Thanks – look like what I need, just ordered a pair!

I’m also not an audiophile so that was enough to dissuade me. Thanks!
