A question for the Audionerdsenthusiasts of STW.

I have a pair of active studio monitors in the lounge, sat under the TV. (Event TR5s for anyone interested). Originally bought for a home studio yonks ago, they now reside as TV speakers.

I’d like to add a bluetooth audio receiver to these so I can stream music from my phone.

Sounds simple – however, being active speakers they have no volume control. So my worry is that when I connect via bluetooth, the speakers will happily announce “ZOMG BLUETOOTH CONNECTING” at maximum volume. The missus has informed me this is not an acceptable solution! Once connected, controlling volume from phone is no bother.

Aside from an auxiliary inline volume control, any experience for a bluetooth adaptor that doesn’t shout at you on connection, or is subdued!

    Ta!
