I’m really quite puzzled by this. ❓

So far, Hampshire bluebells have looked noticeably less perfect than previous years. Rather scrawny and tired looking. 🙁 As I’ve mentioned before, it could be due to the chilly night-time temperatures and perhaps the lack of rain has not helped.

Anyway, here’s a pic from yesterday:

Thanks Redthunder, perfectly sums up the change in my commute from the joys of the M42/M5 to quiet local lanes and trails. Can’t wait now.

mutley – whereabouts in the Chilterns was that please? Are there many good displays to be enjoyed?

Well, today I visited a different valley in Hampshire with some rather lovely little woods. Displays were good but, again, bluebells were slightly withered looking and definitely not as vivid as they could be.

Ooooh, much prettiness. I’ve enjoyed looking at these pics. 8)

I think in the South we’re still suffering from lack of hydration although some in the Chilterns yesterday looked healthy. Many did not though. The vividness is missing this year. 🙁

I am however rather concerned about the places redthunder inhabits. A graveyard? A shooting range? Hmmm
