I was out for a walk yesterday, looking around the hedgerows, but no bluebells yet. Lots of primroses, violets, etc.

Not bluebells, but some sad old git riding through a field of poppies.

First Bluebells of the year seen in our wood today! Absolutely delighted that we have Snowdrops, Daffodils and Bluebells (among other things).

    Nice pics, RT.

We need to organise a STW ride to catch the bluebells under the Beech trees on Harron Hill and perhaps an loop of Benarty Hill here in Fife.

Hey redthunder and might have guessed you’d be the first. 😀 I thought I saw some on Saturday in someone’s garden but was on a climb, rude to take pics etc.

Getting slightly excited with the bluebells in the back garden, shoots are looking incredibly healthy and can’t be far away from a display of scented loveliness. 8)

I need to get off road and into my bluebells woods, sod this cx road malarkey!

A couple of bluebells appeared 2 days ago in my garden. Today there is more and they’re actually in 3 different places in the garden. 8)

Not as many as RT up there, but the start of the bluebell season in our local wood is here 🙂 South Herefordshire. Saw a few in the FoD as well riding yesterday. Could be an awesome bluebell year.

Not bluebells, but I love to see these as well

Feels like spring. Must be. It’s raining 😉

I’ve been out walking with my mum and her walking group, earlier, on their Daffodil Walk. No bluebells, but there was colour. We also saw 4 deer running away from us, across a farmer’s field (they were a bit quick for my phone camera skilz).

Hmmm, I went to my favourite bluebell wood yesterday and it was a bit of a poor show.

Does anyone know about them? I wonder if the wood has become too dense and not letting in enough sunlight. Any theories?

Saw lots of yellow today, kept my fingers crossed for a world class (or at least some sort of combined counties class) bluebell wood, and wasn’t disappointed. Beautiful ride.

    Garden’s looking good too!

Went over to my favourite bluebell wood today, and they’re just starting to show a faint blue haze through the trees. There are little clumps here and there, but I reckon next weekend they’ll be out in force.
The beech trees are just starting to show those lovely pale green leaves in places, too.

Lots of Wood Anemone and Celandines out, too, and saw a tree creeper scurrying up a tree, and a red kite low over a clear area by a bridle path. Great day.

Redthunder’s are, fairly predictably, really lovely! Nice watercolour, too. 😀

Didn’t stop to take pics of the bluebell carpets in the Chilterns today, but was passed by Rob Warner on the ‘huntercombe” descent on the way back to Watlington!
