  • Blu Ray and 720 tv – Worth it?

I bought my Samsung TV a few years ago, its a 32″ which at the time meant it was only 720, not 1080. It does have 100hz refresh rate though. My current dvd will upscale upto 1080 and it looks fine.

So, will i notice any difference going to a blu ray, even though its only a 720 tv?

What distance are you watching from?

Don’t forget that (for me) as much as the picture benefits of Blu-ray, are also the sound benefits – do you have the equipment to make the most of this?

    Doubt it, I can’t.

Have read that your eye cannot resolve the detail until it’s way bigger or you sit 3′ away.

I did used to have it set up with my hifi for surround sound, but the current house doesn’t have the space, so its just the tv speakers.

I’m sat about 10ft about from it
