  • Blown loft insulation – any problems?

Need to get my loft insulated and the blown insulation looks like a good option because of the low height of the loftspace – anyone used it? Any problems?

I too am considering this as our loft is a nightmare to lag. Anyone else used this approach for loft insulation? Ta muchly!

My parents had it done for free as part of a grant to pensioners.

My father was livid, as he didn’t realise it would be blown. He’s a retired plumber and thought that any kind of re-wiring, plumbing work or any other requirement to work in the loft would be a nightmare and require a lot of shovelling of horrible fluffy crap in order to get to anything that required attention.

Having said that, they’ve been quite happy with the insulation effect so far.

Suggest you look at this stuff as well. Benefit of not being Rockwool, its a more sustainable product made from cellulose.
