How do you know what I know very well?
Well I had, maybe erroneously, assumed that you had actually read the story
It didn't even occur to me that someone might very strong opinions on a news story which they hadn't even bothered reading
.
This is identical in tone and content to what my adolescent daughter says when she's losing the argument:
"Losing the argument" ? That's how you see it, isn't it ...... "winning" or "losing" an argument ?
Small details such as, knowing what you're talking about, been actually correct, and understanding the facts, don't really come into it, do they - eh ?
So I react in the same way as your daughter does, when she is confronted by an ill-informed person who likes to argue into the small hours of the morning over an issue which they don't understand/know the facts - ie :
'I can't be arsed anymore' ?
