Dear cyclist on Edgecumbe Street,

I appreciate your choice to travel by bicycle, and in fact often do so myself. I appreciate your high visibility waistcoat making you more visible to other road users.

I do not, however, appreciate your choice to ride the wrong way down a one way street, nor do I appreciate the fact that you almost rode into me as I unloaded my car. I especially do not appreciate the muttered abuse as you swerved to avoid me.

So Mr Cyclist, I stand by the torrent of abuse you found hurled at yourself and, had I not had an unlocked car and arms full of stuff you may well have found yourself having to outrun an angry bearded man with the aim of inserting your high visibility jacket up your own one way street.
