I bought a whyte E5 a few weeks ago. Its fitted with a Hope BB and XT chainset. Its a 68mm shell and there were 2 spacers on the drive side and one on the non of the bb shell. I am sure this is right for the bb and size but the chain line looks well out especially on the outer ring on the front and the bigger rings (obviously not the 34T top ring) on the back. Even on the middle it looks too far over. I have swapped the spacers to 2 on the non and one on the drive and it looks better but the shfiting seems bad and it ghost shifts a lot under suspension compression. The drivetrain was pretty worn so i put on new cassette, jockeys, middle ring and chain and its a lot better but im still concerned about the chain line. Anyone else with an E5 who can check their setting etc? I am guessing the rear wheel "bobbins" for the big gripper drip outs are set and can be moved in or out board?
