Californians are almost worse as they get into the office just as the U.K. working day is finishing so you’re just about walk out of the office and *ping!* Skype call!

    Get used to it.

Remember those conference calls with Germans and French at sensible times of the day?

Forget about them, they’re gone and not coming back.

It’s going to be 5am calls with the Chinese, and then finish the day with a 7pm call with the Americans.

And the whole country is depending on us now that we’ve cut ourselves adrift. If you don’t do this for us, who’s going to earn the money to pay for all the regeneration money for the regions, and to make good on May’s promises?

And there’s the small matter of that £350M.

    Suck it up.

And we had to have a thread about that, did we.

Was bored waiting for the call.

The organiser of the meeting had the cheek to not be in the office at 8.30am and joined from his taxi, thereby rendering the slides I’d slaved on redundant!

Still – it’s a cracking opportunity to do cool and techie things so I’m chuffed to be asked, and will be even more chuffed if they get the gig.

Ah, a bit more detail makes it a tad more interesting*. Still a bit vain, tho…

    *Joking, of course.

But seriously it’s generally up to the one to fit in with the rest 🙂 I tend to rule out Friday afternoons but even the WA lot forget that one some days. After that it’s hard to find times to get too many time zones lined up.

Bloody UK office is worse – I’m just heading home at 15:00 (14:00 BST; Spanish summer timetable) and ping!

I like the way Kiwiland is significantly bigger than usual on that map.
