I have a 2007 Whyte 46 with Avid Juicy Carbon brakes. I’m looking at buying the bleed kit for these so i can have a go myself. You tube has good instruction video’s on how to do this.

How often do the brakes need bleeding? I’ve had it since new and they’ve never been done (4years). At the moment they’re working fine with great stopping power. Is it a case of “If it’s not broken then don’t fix it” kinda thing. Or would you recommend changing the old brake fluid inside.

    Thanks in advance 🙂

After 4yrs a bit of preventative maintenance wouldn’t do any harm either.

If you get a bleed kit don’t waste £40 on the genuine one, get one like this off eBay for a tenner instead 🙂
