Eh? I blame it on the LHC

So its basically STW, without all the STWers? Sounds good.

I feel exposed.

Are we being group-stalked?

I've never even seen that forum before and my post about pics not working on here is on there

What happens when this thread ends up on there? Will the whole world spiral into a cataclysmic balckhole armageddon type event? Or no?

We'll all be 10stone wippits doing 20ft gap jumps without rucksacks or helmets

Someone mirroring the forum to give google the impression that their site has lots of activity and thus bumps it up the search rankings?

10stone wippits

How odd.
Has anyone told the powers that be about this?Posted 1 year ago # -
There's another forum on there mirroring STW's news forum:
http://riderwear.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=38
But carefully cut down to just a few words so they can argue fair use and avoid copyright violations?

Cheeky beggars!

This thread is now there!!!!

Cheeky certainly, well out of order I'd say,but where would Singletrack stand legally? They provide RSS feeds of all their forum content. Since syndication is designed to allow the insertion of content elsewhere aren't you effectively giving people permission to use content if you syndicate it (I've no idea)? The djglover on 'Bizard forum, parallel universe format, with individual posts rather than threads appearing, suggests that they're using rss to collect the posts (that's how they appear in the RSS section of Outlook 2007 for me).
I imagine there's a lot of potential revenue from well used sites with well used forums. The thing is you tend to need a fair number of posts for for people to join in and, I suppose, for advertisers to get interested, perhaps they're trying to make their forum look busier than it is.

Interesting. I have no desire to appear on a site I haven't joined.
I did search for my username and didn't find it, so maybe it's ok.

? eh ?

We should mke lots of threads saying really 'nice' things with dirtsports/riderwear in the title.
Posted 1 year ago # -
Evidently no-one there is checking which threads are being nicked.
On the news page there's the thread..."Look! It's a new site. STW Mk3 is here."
Posted 1 year ago # -
If I asked my parallel self a question and then got an answer, I'd be really freaked out.....
Posted 1 year ago # -
Hehe! Haha!!
Posted 1 year ago # -
There's no posts there now...
Did STW send the heavy mods around?
Posted 1 year ago # -
Was it just a copy of this forum? Nothing there now!

Somebody mixed a TJ thread with an SFB thread and the whole thing imploded into a black hole.

Haha! I joined out of badness(
), and then asked them why all their thread titles were nicked off here.
Strangely, I've just had an email to say my registration did not meet with their requirements and has been deleted!
