I’ve (obviously) recently bought an Aeris and am (obviously) setting up the CC DB, so decided to do a little bit of hunting for pre-used set-ups, especially as there’s nothing formal on the Cane Creek site yet.

One of the things that impressed me was the lack of bob when I test rode the Aeris, so I assumed that the low speed compression would actually be dialled out a little when compared to most bikes. Obviously the 140 and 150mm do work differently too, but I can’t imagine people altering their shock tune when changing the shock position.

Actually, I lie. I can imagine a few people I know doing that. *sigh*

However, I’ve come across two settings so far, which appear to be almost opposites.

I’m tempted to think that setting 1 is closer to the truth, but the fact they’re so different has lead me to ask a little further afield (this post).

So – any thoughts from other owners?
