    Howdo,

Im of an age where I make those involuntary groaning noises when I bend down. Thoughts, then, inevitably turn to pipes and slippers etc. In that vein then Im looking for a set of binoculars for general use.

Never having owned any, Id prefer something compact and light weight.

Not got alot of money to spend, wondered if you might recommend some?

    Thanks.

Uttings outdoors, have a great range of top makes, heavily reduced. Id recommend hawke, for a good entry level brand. Great optics for the money.

Uttings have a fantastic range of damn near everything! I bought my Muckboots from them, excellent service.
I would suggest also these, http://www.acecameras.co.uk/asp/web/recorprod/1/product/15698/cat/1291/ph/cat/keywords//recor/1/SearchFor//PT_ID/1/product.asp
I’ve got a pair of the 8×32 DCF Trekkers, and for £89 they’re excellent, really good, pocketable binocs.
