    Got to go to Auckland next february wondering what the rules are like about taking bikes on that sort of flight?

    depends on the airline – will be on their website
    (air NZ have been more accommodating than most when I’ve flown to the usa)

    If I remember correctly, my camping stuff was checked for cleanliness and mud…. think it will be the same for your bike. Make sure its clean I suppose.
