My garage was broken into last night.
I think someone walking by Wednesday,spotted the contents.
Stolen was
Cannondale bad boy. All stock.
Boardman ally road bike,black and yellow.

Here is the one that matters.
2012 neon green Orange five.
V2 brakes
Super tacky dh swampthings
White fox 32 forks
Havoc bars
Mg1 pedals.

Guess these will be never seen again.
Just checked john lewis insurance, not really insured.bugger.

Any tips where to look?

Sorry to hear pal. Gumtree, Ebay, Pinkbike, local Facebook buy and sell groups are a good place to start.

I work in Kingston, live local, will keep eyes peeled, will let mates know as well, always up around Woburn as well.
Sad news.

As well as EBay etc Get images to all the local Halfords and LBS’s and cash converters type establishments ASAP and offer a reward for return. if it’s an opportunist they may just be thick enough to walk into one of them with it in the next few weeks.

The Orange is distinctive enough that it may just work.

I work in MK so Il’l keep my eyes pealed for a scrote on a fluoro green 5 with white forks, what wheels did it have?

I’m MK based too, and a C456 rider – not many around Brickhill/Woburn. Will keep eyes peeled for your Orange – get a search on Gumtree, the obligatory hooky sales platform.

That is a crazy stat for thefts at the station, however, they do have bike lockups there now so should be much more secure!

Mine is neon green. Think of the brightest green ever, its that colour.
Just finished making the garage super secure.
A phrase about horse’s is springing to mind.
Trying to be positive, everbody is unharmed, i can always buy new bikes.

I admire your positive outlook, but it’s still a piss boiler that people have the gall to break into other peoples property for a few hundred quid.

Bikes are obviously worth more, but they’ll end up flogging on for a couple of hundred to fuel whatever habits make them scrotes in the first place.

I do hope you get them back though, stranger things have happened.

Have you been given details of the officer in the case? Ask them to add the photos of your bikes to the shift briefing. That way each time officers start their shift they will see your bikes… if they come across it for instance a stop check, house search etc they will be more likely to recover it.

Just a quick bump, for people who are out and about today.

This has really messed with my head, trouble sleeping, waking up at the slightest noise. Rubbish.

That is their standard cover . If you have expensive bikes you need their bespoke option . Another horse bolted statement but hopefully may help others in the future .

Had to check my policy after reading this as I’m with John Lewis insurance.

Fortunately I had the two bikes over £1000 specified so they’re covered for the full amount.

Is it worth you checking again? Mine are listed on the policy schedule below the “Pedal Cycle Option”
