Seriously share your experiences please.
Some of the most lack luster experiences i have had with clothing have been the likes of “waterproof” jackets and riding specific shorts.

Am i just grumpy ?

I think they get away with a lot by appealing to the macho side of the average mountain biker i.e. “We’re just so hard on our equipment that we just destroy everything in no time”,or “We put it through so much that it just can’t cope.” I’ve now accepted that i’m going to get wet no matter how much the jacket costs/how much the manufacturer guarantees I won’t, and now buy at the cheaper end of the market.

Bike specific waterproof jackets that ‘breathe’.
