Just wonder how sales are for specific styles of bikes? Specifically ‘real’ road bikes, but also how that translates to other sales. i.e. are road bike sales dropping but touring / ‘gravel’ bikes maybe taken up the slack as people want more versatile and don’t care about the whole dentist / powermeter trend? How about mountain bikes? Are the ever changing standards meaning that people are being put off buying a bike because they are scared that it’ll be redundant / worthless in 12 months time?

I’m in Canada so wondering what the state of play is ‘over the pond’. Seems hard to find any info on-line other than basic 2014 stats and no breakdown of sales into bike type.
