  • Bike insurance for one flight?

I’m flying back to the UK next week after 6 months out. My home insurance lapsed on my bike after 90 days but will be active as soon as I’m back.

I’m concerned I should cover myself for the bike getting lost on the flight. Any ideas?

Crossed my mind I could take out bike specific insurance and just cancel on the distance selling act once I’m home?

Forgetting the fact that dsr doesn’t exist anymore the financial version of it allows companies to recover their reasonable costs – I tried when my needs changed and I got a 60% refund so it may be an expensive way of doing it.

Just get 1 days worth of travel insurance, but tbh the airline will cover you to a certain amount if they loose something
