If you had a week or long weekend to spent abroad on a bike holiday, would you consider Black Forest in the South of Germany?
Consider the following: short flights from various UK airports to Basel, short transfer. There is xc riding, downhill in Bikepark Todtnau and a possibility to visit Lac Blanc bike park in the Vosges mountains in France. There is plenty of routes for the roadie as well. Guiding included. Accomodation in a lovely place run by lovely people.
Lots of things to do/see for a non-riding partner or on the day off: Open air swimming pool, hill walking, sight-seeing/shopping in Freiburg and various other places, mountain coaster (luge ride) to name but a few.
